For me, personal projects are vital for my growth and development as a photographer. This is where I learn the skills and techniques that I will then use in my paid work. Whilst very single time we take photos, is in realty practice, it is in my personal projects that I attempt to weed out the expensive mistakes and errors. You, as my client, are paying for skills that I should be bringing with me, not paying for me to learn on the job!
